13:10:25 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett To Eric Skillings(privately) : are you able to mute Robert Bennett?
13:10:35 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett To Eric Skillings(privately) : Reacted to “are you able to mute…” with 🙂
13:24:21 From Dawn Jones : On my phone
13:47:12 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett : Room 4 had similar questions! How much is too much? What if someone goes over?
13:47:54 From Robert Bennett : ECORC did a Covenanting/Recognition of LLWLs at their Fall AGM
13:50:25 From Robert Bennett : Worship Leading Limits…varies from Region to Region!!!
13:52:13 From Norma Wrightly, she/her : In EOORegion it is willy-nilly if there is a service of recognition. We have to meet certain criteria to be relicensed each year.
13:54:35 From Robert Bennett : Question: IF…IF the powers-that-be in a Regional Council do decide to withdraw or not renew a LLLWLs license for being too busy….. does a LLWL have an Appeal to the General Council…or is the Regional Council the final word????????
13:56:25 From Jane : You don’t need to licensed to lead a service. It would be sad to lose licensing but you can still lead
13:56:27 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett : Tippet: Tippet – Wikipedia
13:56:36 From Sue Anderson-Comber, Ontario : Reacted to “You don’t need to li…” with 👍
13:56:43 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett : Reacted to “You don’t need to li…” with <
13:57:39 From Sue Anderson-Comber, Ontario : I wear my Tippet proudly (as one of my local church members told me I worked hard for it and wear it proudly
13:57:56 From Dawn Jones : Reacted to I wear my Tippet pro… with “♥”
13:58:07 From catherine christie : right on, Sue
13:58:32 From Linda Buchanan : I would love a tippet 🙂
13:58:35 From Robert Bennett : I can say in ECORC, the powers-that-be want for vacant charges to have someone in ordered ministry….and would not go along with a lay person who is not licensed being the Worship Leader– not ongoing….\
13:58:50 From Don Lockhart Port Elgin NB : I’m wondering how many of us are also sacrement elders.
13:59:00 From Jane : Will national office ever take over the llwl resource management?
13:59:31 From Linda Buchanan : I am and there are two more for our congregation.
13:59:33 From Jane : How does an llwl become a sacrament elder?
14:00:01 From Joyce Wagland Comox : What’s a sacrament elder?
14:00:05 From Robert Bennett : The Regions should have oversight, but Policy should be enforced by the National Level. LLWLs oughtn’t be at the mercy of the Regional COuncil
14:00:08 From Sue Anderson-Comber, Ontario : there is a resource book online UCofC website with information
14:00:16 From Sue Anderson-Comber, Ontario : for a Sacrament Elder
14:00:34 From Linda Buchanan : a person appointed after training to preside at communion and baptism
14:01:23 From Linda Humphrey : And then the CRA gets involved too….
14:01:54 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett : Sacrament Elder: Sacraments Elders | The United Church of Canada
14:02:10 From Joyce Wagland Comox : Rally? I understood that no one but an ordained minister could administer communion?
14:03:01 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett : Sacrament Elders are also supported differently in different regions.
14:03:19 From Sue Anderson-Comber, Ontario : if your congregation agrees to support you and you are without a minister you can be a sacrament elder but if you have an ordained minister you step aside
14:04:06 From Joyce Wagland Comox : So can LLWLs not have a course to qualify us to administer communion?
14:04:46 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett : Replying to “So can LLWLs not hav…”

I believe only through the Sacrament Elder designation, and only at your COF
14:04:52 From Sue Anderson-Comber, Ontario : maybe we have to request it
14:05:20 From Norma Wrightly, she/her : Reacted to “if your congregation…” with <thumbsup>
14:05:26 From Joyce Wagland Comox : What is exactly the reason for the restriction on communion?
14:05:39 From Norma Wrightly, she/her : Reacted to “I believe only throu…” with <thumbsup>
14:05:44 From Dawn Jones : In the arw llwls can lead love feasts/agape meals but not communion
14:06:19 From Dawn Jones : At a funeral I must step aside for a presiding minister
14:06:24 From Norma Wrightly, she/her : Reacted to “In the arw llwls can…” with <thumbsup>
14:06:32 From Robert Bennett : We have to go through our home congregation first…..if they are okay, then we are allowed
14:06:52 From Robert Bennett : The persons in ordered ministry have priority….
14:08:38 From Joyce Wagland Comox : I thought that communion administration was a spiritual issue. If it’s just about training, that changes things entirely!
14:08:46 From Robert Bennett : Here’s the rationale in ECORC for LLWLs NOT doing Funerals: we are not trained in Pastoral Care No joke! I am serious
14:10:00 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett : Is there an LLWL network or way of connecting? Do regions organize that? depending on the region?
14:10:01 From Joyce Wagland Comox : Seven minutes – hey, let’s break the rules and go for longer . . .
14:10:04 From George Bott (he, him) : Burning questions from Room 3. Is there an age to give up being an LLWL? When will LLWLs be recognized in some way by the National Church – a Subscription to Gathering? Discount at UCRD? something?
14:10:25 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett : Reacted to “Seven minutes – hey,…” with 🙂
14:11:02 From Sue Anderson-Comber, Ontario : Replying to “Is there an LLWL net…”

ARWR meets at least on a yearly basis. Encourage your region to do so!
14:11:17 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett : Reacted to “ARWR meets at least …” with <thumbsup>
14:13:09 From Linda Humphrey : Replying to “Is there an LLWL net…”

ARWR meets on the weekend when I am out west staying with my grands! So I miss it….
14:13:30 From Don Lockhart Port Elgin NB : We have an annual get-together for both regions here in the Maritimes.
14:13:49 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett : Reacted to “We have an annual ge…” with <thumbsup>
14:20:34 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett : Some of these complexities come from our Ecumenical relationships and mutual recognition of ordered ministry.
14:21:23 From catherine christie : thanks for that Bronwyn
14:21:37 From Bronwyn (she/her) Corlett : Yes! Thank you all for all your leadership and ministry!
14:22:42 From Linda Humphrey : Bye everyone
